Getting to Know You: Egg Donor Team, Sam
Sam is the Director of Egg Donation Services at Same Love Surrogacy. Along with her team, she helps Intended Parents’ dreams come true! Her kind, respectful, sensitive, and friendly demeanor have made her an amazing asset to the SLS team.
She’s a southern country girl at heart, originally from Norfolk, Virginia, who has been in the medical field for 20+ years! In 2004, she became fascinated by the IVF process, so she applied to work at an IVF clinic where she became interested in egg donation. She completed her first donation while still working at the IVF clinic so she could see firsthand how happy intended parents were with receiving positive pregnancy results or hearing the initial thumping of a heartbeat. Sam was determined to be just a small piece of an intended parent’s journey. She found the process to be smooth and easy with little discomfort and has since donated a total of 10 times!
The most exciting part of her donating experience was the opportunity of meeting one of her intended parents. It was an amazing experience for everyone involved and it has led to a 13 year relationship. “Having the opportunity to be a part of something so small at the beginning and then turn into something so big at the end, has been a life rewarding experience. It is a part of me that I cherish daily, and I am very proud of.” She says she’s learned so much and would like others to know than when it comes to egg donation “This process is fulfilling and rewarding. Knowing that you had a part in helping others create a family is a magical experience that has forever changed my life.” 
Sam has been with SLS for almost 2 years now. During that time, she has helped lead her team and guide many other women through the egg donation process.
She and her husband live in Southern California and have 4 children, 3 boys and
a 1 girl who are the lights of their lives! They enjoy sports – especially watching the kids in action, boating, snowboarding, hiking, relaxing at the beach, watching movies as a family, and traveling. They also have 2 dogs, a Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky mix) and a Yorshiht (Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix) who are like 2 additional children that are loved and spoiled.
